The demon looked pissed and utterly confused as to why they were here.
"How! How were you able to summon me! No human should be able to conjure the power necessary to bring me into this world!"
Standing on the roof of the house, Mora tore through the pages of her grandma's cookbook, just as bewildered by her situation.
"I don't know! You were supposed to be tomato soup!" She screamed back. There had to be some explanation, some reason as to why this was happening-
"You were planning on EATING the portal to hell?!"
"Once again, I was PLANNING on making a bowl of soup!" Mora retorted, glancing up from the book to fire off the response.
The demon glanced inside the house through the window, wearing an expression of disbelief as the attempted meal came into its view. "You can't expect me to believe you when I have seen bull piss more enticing than what is in that pot."
Mora halted looking through the book. "It looked better before a ball of fur, teeth, and sass decided to chuck themself through it. Also-" Her words were cut short by ringing on her phone inside the house, discarded earlier as she had run away in terror. The demon began walking inside the house to investigate.
"No, no, no, no, no, you aren't answering that it might be my boss, get away from it!" Mora scrambled down the roof as fast as she could. Climbing the roofing had been much easier when adrenaline and horror had flooded her veins. Managing to get down, albeit unceremoniously, she sprinted inside. The demon had picked up the phone and was staring confusedly at the screen.
"Mortal, explain to me why 'Lord Incubator' is attempting to contact you"
A flush rose to Mora's cheeks. "Gimme that." She grabbed her phone. The demon apparently lost interest and wandered off.
"Heyyy mom, I'm a little busy right now, can I call you back in an hour or two?"
"Yes of course honey, just wondering if you want me to give you the rest of your grandma's cookbooks"
"Oh don't worry this one is plenty for me" The demon had made its way into her bedroom. "Listen I'm gonna have to talk later love ya bye!" She cut the call and threw her phone on the couch.
"Human, have you ever thought of exercising a modicum of order on the place where you rest?"
"Oh no no no, I have two parents already, I don't need a third." She grabbed the demon's ear and started dragging him to the pot. They seemed almost amused and didn't fight back until Mora tried to shove their face into the soup.
"I have expressed that I do not find your cooking appealing!" The shouts went unheard by Mora, who decided she wanted to put an end to the nightmare.
"Go. *grunt* To. Hell." She managed to get their head in the soup...and watched as the pot crumbled into dust. She sat on the floor, letting go of the demon, unsure of what to do next.
"Doors between realms have to be earned. You can't use the same one twice."
"So how do we get you back?"
The demon gave a sad smile. "I don't know, but in the meantime -" he extended his hand " -My name is Lucifer."
