I'm sure there are people in college like me that were blessed/cursed with having abnormally small feet. There are many perks, but also many struggles, that come along with small feet. However, we all hold a special bond and can relate to many things that come along with this. So I'm just going to highlight a few things that define what it's like to live with small feet

1. People want to compare their feet to yours all the time.

It's kind of fun to see how small your feet are compared to others, but it gets old after you have to compare your feet to every person in the room every time you go to a social gathering and people realize your feet are small...

2. Never being able to borrow friend's or family member's shoes.

Having small feet is the ultimate struggle when you need a certain pair of shoes to match an outfit but can't borrow any because everyone you know has feet that are 4 sizes bigger than yours.

3. Being able to shop in the kid's section.

Kids Shoes

Adult Shoes

This one is honestly such a blessing because kid's shoes are so much cheaper than adult shoes. This especially comes in handy when you are trying to buy name brand shoes like Uggs or Sperrys. Having small feet could save you a decent amount of money!

4. Having Velcro on all your sandals.

The only downside of buying kid shoes is that sometimes they actually look like kid shoes. But hey, at least Velcro saves you time strapping your shoes on.

5. Any shoes or socks or really anything you can put your foot in that is "One Size Fits All" will not fit you.

Your foot will be the one foot that is the exception to "one size fits all".

6. You can still fit into all your shoes from middle school.

People comment on how large your shoe collection is when in reality, it is only that big because you haven't had to get rid of any shoes from 6th grade on.

7. Finding heels in your size is impossible unless you want white First Communion heels.

For some odd reason, people that make heels think people with small feet will never want to wear them. So unless you want to look like a 2nd grader making their First Communion, it's going to be pretty difficult finding heels in a size that'll fit.

8. You are probably really good at Twister.

Think about it -- those circles are super small and your foot is small enough to fit in them when all your friends can only fit on half of it. Jokes on them, because you're winning this one.

9. Small shoe sizes are always on sale.

No one has small feet like you, so the likelihood of all the shoes being, in your size is very good. May the odds be ever in your favor.

10. Your feet are really cute

Odds are if you have small feet, you will get a lot of compliments on how cute and little your feet are. And we all know that compliments are never a bad thing!

So enjoy your little feet, girls! They aren't all that bad!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
