The "I'm 18 And Will Never Be a Feminist" Article Is Ridiculous

What would I rather be called than a feminist? Literally anything. Maybe a "masochist", that sounds about right.

The "I'm 18 And Will Never Be a Feminist" Article Is Ridiculous
Business Insider

The other day, a man told my 12-year-old sister that she has a nice ass and she responded with “That’s gross, you’re old.” Unbelievable, think about the man's feelings! He put all that effort into giving her a compliment and she couldn’t take it. Girls these days are so disrespectful to men! THANKS, modern feminism!!

This is why I will never be called a FEMINIST because I RESPECT men!! I even respect the ones who are 60 years old and say “grab them by the p****!” or that they want to sleep with their daughters. I’m 18 and I know this for sure, I have a lot of experience!

If women go to the gym and become strong, what will happen to the strong men?

I work out all the time and I am stronger than every girl on this planet, but I make sure that I am still weaker than men. They have the right to be stronger than me -- they’re built that way and can’t help it. Sorry “feminists," looks like you really don’t know what respect and equality are. Not unless you limit yourself regarding how strong you can be so that men can be stronger than us and can take comfort in their masculinity!! No matter how many weights you lift a day, it is impossible for a woman to be stronger than a man. I know this because I am the strongest woman.

Do you want to show your breasts in public? Not feminist!!

You're wrong! Our breasts are not made for the public eye. Only juicy, hairy man breasts can be seen (they don’t lactate, so it’s okay). I can’t believe there are women out there protesting men who molested them at 9 years old or raped their mothers in front of them. Think of the men! They have to live with being called a “rapist.” Disgusting and inconsiderate. This generation knows NOTHING about real feminism!!

Donald Trump is a very nice man and everybody should like him.

So what if he said, “You can grab them by the p****?" He was a young 60-year-old man, and it was locker room talk. He supports and endorses actual pedophiles? The kid probably seduced them (most likely the child of a FEMINIST). Feminists don’t want men to make jokes about sexual assault, but I do, which is why I am not a feminist.

Do Republicans want to take away the reproductive rights of women? It’s their opinion, so don’t be mean to them!! I absolutely refuse to be rude to people who think women are less than men, and I am a woman!!! “Feminists," take notes, this is REAL feminism right here!

Why are young women being inspired by feminism?

Social media, that's why! Media? Education? Personal experience? Nope, the answer is TWITTER! Twitter is the communist child of Satan filling the minds of our youth with impure thoughts like feminism or even worse: liberalism. What's next? Children talking about racial equality? Oh dear God, when will it end?

What happened to the good old days when women were forced to birth and care for the children that they didn’t have the legal rights to, while men went and worked to support all of them? Make America Great Again, just like this!

Women should have their own beliefs about everything except having equal rights! No! If you are a true, smart woman, you should understand that modern feminism is wrong. Actually, all feminism is wrong. Just don’t be a feminist! Don’t listen to what the feminists say. They are trying to manipulate your brain and possess you.

Don’t let progressivism stop you from thinking like a rich 19th-century male politician! Just say NO to feminism!

If you couldn’t tell, my article was purely satire in response to the article "I'm An 18-Year-Old Female And I Will Never Be A Feminist", written by Macey Joe Mullins. I respectfully disagree with 99% of what she wrote in her article. However, I am also an 18-year-old who happened to have marched in the Women’s March in D.C. at age seventeen, and I can understand why she probably doesn’t agree with modern feminism (I also understand that the picture she used was an anti-feminist joke and not serious); she doesn’t have a reason to agree. She’s privileged and exceptionally fortunate, and that’s not her fault. Since she is still young at a prime age for learning new things and having new experiences, here’s to hoping she becomes more educated on what modern feminism really means to other girls and women.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
