Whether you watch old movies that contain your favorite soundtrack, or searched on YouTube for your favorite childhood artists, whenever someone mentions Aly & AJ, it's impossible to stop the nostalgic feelings. 2004 was the start of it all when they signed up with Hollywood Records, and released their first debut album. It was all history from there as they released many more hit songs. To ensure that they would be separated from their "childlike" music, they switched their name and sounded completely different, going under the name, 78Violet. Although they shied away from making more music in the past, 2017 is the year for their comeback. These are 7 different reasons why everyone who once loved Aly & AJ should be excited about their comeback.

1. They've ditched 78Violet and went back to their original name.

Once Aly & AJ changed into 78Violet, they lost most of their following and they knew it too. Although it allowed them to experiment with different sounds without consequences, going back under the name Aly & AJ restored everyone's hope for hearing more of the upbeat sound they were known for.

2. They've grown with their followers, which means they're exploring a more mature sound.

They admitted it, Like Whoa was pretty childish, and their least favorite song they've created. They wanted a clean slate, so switching from Aly & AJ to Violet78 seemed like a sound choice... but now they're back after 10 years under the same name. Same name and new music? That explains the sensual cover art.

3. It's been 10 years since the release of Potential Break-Up Song... 10 YEARS!

It's been 10 years... A person can only listen to one song for so long before they NEED new music. Hearing their soundtracks in old movies, like Minute Men, only reminds me of how good they were. The thought, "When is it time for new music?" has never left my mind.

4. They're focusing more on music than TV/films.

Listen, we all loved Aly in Phil of the Future and Now You See It, and the duo in their own movie, CowBelles, but we're happy about that transition. Their last movie that was shown at the LA Film Festival was an indie drama called, Weepah Way for Now. It interestingly followed the lives of two sisters trying to cope with adulthood and family tragedies before they leave on a music tour. Although I would never turn off something that they produced, their quality music is what everyone loves.

5. They promise a whole new album is coming.

A whole new album? After three studio albums, this is what we've all been waiting for. This is like 2007 all over again.

6. They've been hinting at new music for a year and this time they actually followed through.

Aly & AJ never let us down, but they've been saying they would release music for over a year and left everyone wondering. The final release date for their new song, Take Me, is August 18 and it's not just a rumor this time.

7. The song was accidentally leaked on Spotify, and it's been said that it's true to their old sound.

How can it get better than this? Everyone had become fans for a reason. The possible thought that they are bringing back the sound that we all know and love, is what makes us love them in the first place.

The 2000's was the time that Aly and AJ rose to fame, and although their music died down, they've still been around working on many different projects. It was a shock to fans to learn that they're back in the music game, but while we're all waiting for their new song, it gives us the perfect excuse to blast all their old songs.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
