You Can Always Choose To Find The Good In Life

"Everyday may not be good, but there is something good in every day."

Life sometimes just flat out sucks. Bad things happen every day, but one of the best things about life is that you get to decide how you handle it.

You can choose to break down and give up. You can choose to play the victim and take pity on yourself. You can choose to turn away from everyone you love and push them away when they try to help you. You can choose to see everything in a negative light. You can choose to turn your back on God. You can choose to never smile and you can choose to think that the world always owes you something. You can choose a pessimistic life if that's what you really want.

Or...

You can realize that bad things happen to everyone, not just you. You can choose to see that even though there might be hard times in life, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. You can choose to hope and pray that things will turn around for you and then you can choose to act on it. You can choose to talk to those who love you and take their words of wisdom to heart. You can choose not to be the victim. You can choose to appreciate the sun shining or the birds chirping in the morning when you wake up. You can choose to smile when your dog or cat looks at you with adoration and comes and snuggles up next to you. You can choose to make your life the most fulfilled life that you can. You can choose to be optimistic.

Anyone can choose to be a pessimist or an optimist. But before deciding, take a step back and realize that life really is a beautiful thing. We all have our rough days, but the brighter days make everything worth it. There are so many good things in this world whether everyone wants to believe that or not.

It is all up to us as individuals as to how we choose to look at life.

I promise though, the good things in life always outweigh the bad.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
