You'll Always Have A Place On This Earth, Even If It Doesn't Feel That Way

You'll Always Have A Place On This Earth, Even If It Doesn't Feel That Way

The loss of a loved one starts the definitions of what we feel for the others that we lose throughout the duration of our lives. Unfortunately, some of these losses are so tragic that we have a difficult time speaking upon them due to the trauma in which it brings us back to. A person taking their own life is the most vulnerable, difficult topic to start a conversation about because it truly hits home to every single person on this earth. We think about the people we love and the people in which we've lost and we never think that anything horrible could happen to those who are still with us because they are still present. Mental health is probably the most important aspect of our generation as we have so many things occurring at once which makes it difficult to actually pause for a second and reflect on own personal thoughts and how things may be affecting us. We are told at times to not speak about things that upset us or show emotion due to the way that others may react to how we portray ourselves or the things that we say.

Seeing those with bigger platforms speak upon their mental health issues and differences in thinking, a lot of reactions have spiraled from the general public in doing so.

It's so crucial that we allow for conversation yet we seek that many people are struggling with something that we can't even see due to the personal matters they may be going through. It's easy to think that we can evaluate someone else's situation and help them, but we truly have no idea what is going on and our mild input could only do something minor for their issues. The biggest thing is to be a major listener and just be that sounding board for anyone who enters your life. If we could be that person for someone who is struggling then just know that if you're ever going through something, I'm sure that person could be the same way for you. What we put out on this earth is what we receive back as everything tends to go full circle.

You have every right to be on this earth and we both have a special place in the world that we are going to find within our own lives and times. Not even getting into religion, everyone has a place on this earth even in the now and the current time we are all sitting somewhere talking to someone or communicating some type of message to one another. You're speaking and acting upon something that you care about, even if you're getting food, or typing up an assignment for a class. We are all working towards something to further the paths of our lives in general. So keep going, do what you can and when it gets hard lean on those who have built a solid foundation of friendship for you. They care about you and always will, make sure you express that back to make your circle full and worthwhile.

Some days are easy and some difficult, but just keep going because life is the biggest gift that we've all collectively received and we need to make the most of it on every day. Aim for the "impossible" and open yourself up to new experiences and new people because you never know who you'll meet and what you'll see. New opportunities present themselves daily and you're going to find your place. At the brink of each day you're moving and making slight changes in your daily schedule which are part of your overall journey, so keep going.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
