Why You Should Come To Alpha Delta Pi's Teeter Totter

This Tuesday, September 29th, is Alpha Delta Pi's annual philanthropy event Teeter Totter, benefiting the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House.

From 6:00pm-8:30pm, the lawn of the ADPi house on 150 South Milledge Avenue will be filled with people enjoying the exciting event!

With that, here's 10 reasons YOU should be attendance this Tuesday...

1. ZAXBY'S!


There's going to be a Zaxby's food truck at the ADPi House, and with your ticket you will receive a full meal from the truck!

2. Lil' Ice Cream Dude!


The ice cream truck that's taking over Athens, with many awesome flavors and varieties, there's sure to be something you like! A treat from him is also included with your ticket.

3. BOTTOMLESS DESSERTS!


Also included with your ticket is access to the dessert table at the event, baked by our own chefs Brandon and Tony!

4. BLING!


We have seven local jewelry vendors selling their merchandise at the event! Check out some of their Instagram pages beforehand to see some of their talent! @basically_ beaded @veajewels @shop_belletique @classiccitybeads @beadedwithlove_

5. T-SHIRTS!


Although these aren't included with the ticket, for just $20 you can get the exclusive 2015 Teeter Totter T-Shirt!

For $1 you can pie the ADPi of your choice in the face, it's not everyday that an opportunity like this arises!

7. TEETER TOTTERS!


Living up to its name, there will be teeter totters on the lawn of ADPi for your enjoyment!

8. LIVE MUSIC!


While you eat the awesome food there's also going to be a live band for your entertainment!

9. PHOTO OPS!


Whether you pie your friend in the face, pose with the Lil' Ice Cream Dude, or take a selfie with the banner in the background, there's going to be plenty of opportunities for your latest insta post!

10. PHILANTHROPY!

While this event is going to be a great time, it's also for a great cause! Proceeds benefit the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities, so while you're hanging out with your friends you'll also be contributing to our fabulous philanthropy!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines.
