Thoughts, thoughts, thoughts. The importance of controlling one’s thought life is often overlooked, yet the power of mental health is something that should be considered every day. As a priority, we should focus on what it is that we let infiltrate our minds and most importantly what we allow to remain and take root.
Imagine the role of an air traffic controller. How their sole job and purpose (if I’m allowed to say) within their field is to use radar to track position (to its exact point), maintaining and keeping it safe in regards to the airspace for the planes and lastly providing routes that are the most efficient for all aboard.
Without those controlling the air-traffic the plan would not be permissible to fly. May I suggest that without the following care and attention to your thoughts the success of your life would not permissible?
“For as he thinks in his heart so is”- Proverbs 23:7
It all begins with a thought. What you believe you will manifest, some acknowledge such as being the law of attraction, which is simple terms is the ability to attract into one’s life whatever he/she focuses on. It’s all intertwined as a truth, what you sow you shall reap (meaning what you focus upon and what you allow enter your spirit, you will regurgitate).
So, when considering your mental health and the overall well-being of your spirit, it is important to keep in mind your power to regulate.
Take some time each day to re-focus and practice gratitude.
Instead, of focusing and complaining what is wrong try to minimize your frustrations by reiterating what is going well in your life. Now I must admit that refraining from complaining has been a struggle of mine lately. Being that I’m someone that talks every little step, problem and concern aloud, I often struggle with keeping my issues to myself. However, I’m learning that not every disturbance of my day deserves credence. By reiterating what is working within my life, not only am I setting my sights to what’s before me but I’m also sowing those positive intentions and seeds of gratitude, which I will surely reap.
Shift your energy: Whether through reading, stretching, prayer, meditation, writing and whatever other methods you tend to use when trying relieve some stress. Shift that negative and tense energy that you naturally carry throughout your day. Get into your cleansing zone and once sweeping your mind of any unwarranted thoughts, allow yourself enter a state of auto-pilot and debrief. Shifting energy is specifically important before entering any state of rest, such as sleep due to the subconscious and its ability to spill into one's dreams.
Affirmation: Personally, it is important that I begin and end my days with positive affirmation. This is accredited to spending time and becoming acquainted with myself that I’ve noticed that I have tendency to carry my day to bed with me, and as my days roll into another making hills out of my week. To keep this under control, I tend affirm myself to release the baggage of my day and begin the new afresh.
Keep in mind what you say you’ll have “It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken” “ -2 Corinthians 4:13.
So begin controlling your mind and tongue, bringing all things into consideration and in alignment.
