Let's Make America Great Again

Life continues after the election. People go to work. The sun rises. Kids go to school. It will be a difficult transition but it will happen. When President Obama was elected president half of the country was proud that America has grown in diversity where the other half was upset that an African-American man will be their nation's leader.

This is not like President Obama being elected, though. There were no riots or attacks. There was hope.

What makes this different from this election? A white was elected again. A republican who is for better immigration policies. He is against abortion with the exceptions for incest, rape, and life of the mother. He is for gun rights and a strong supporter of the second amendment. He is also in favor of stronger foreign policies.

President-elect Donald Trump will not break the United States of America apart. He will do what he can to bring us back together.

1. He is not taking the Presidential Salary ($400,000+) because he is already a billionaire, he does not need to add on to that.

2. He made the crashing stock market rise again and "erase 3 months of losses within 3.5 days."

3. He has great ideas to enhance education in our country as well as fixing our transportation and infrastructure.

Fighting and rioting does not make a difference in the outcome of the election. It only hurts others and causes more trouble and pain for the everyone in the United States. Donald Trump could not have won without someone (the majority of the US) who thinks he is a bad man. He has different views on some topics but he is talking about the greater good for our country.

For those calling him the next Hitler are just scared of someone who is portraying himself as a harsh leader. He has gone back and forth on his LGBTQ stance, which is where the "Hitler" comparison came from, but he's a human being, he is allowed to have his own opinions just like you and me.

I do not know what is going to happen under the Trump Administration but I know things are going to change.

According to reverbpress.com Trump is inarticulate and speaks like a third-grader and, like most candidates, he does not explain how he will get things done. This does not mean he will not get things done though. It means that he is like any other politician except he most likely will not be bought and he has high expectations for his rule over the country.

Trump, the laughing stock of the presidential election, was elected; we can not change that. He has not given the specific orders to hate each other and violate human rights. He was chosen by the people for the people. He was chosen to Make America Great Again and he may or may not succeed. We have to give him the chance to try. He can't mess this country up more than it is already.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
