Join the brothers of JMU Alpha Epsilon Pi for a must-see movie marathon and cookout! This is AEPi's annual philanthropy event with proceeds benefiting the B'nai B'rith International Disaster Relief Fund, an organization invested in the interests of human rights, Israel advocacy, diversity education, and helping communities affected by crisis.
The movie-marathon will take place this Friday, April 8 beginning at 2 p.m. and lasting until Saturday, April 9 at 2 a.m. You're thinking, wow, I could do that in my own room. However, can you watch movies and enjoy the sun at the same time in your dorm? Movies will be played outside while the smell of burgers on the grill fill your nose.
That's right, unlimited burgers, hot dogs, grilled cheese, popcorn, Strites Donuts, and drinks!
On the day of event, you can purchase individual food items and sit and watch some of your favorite movies. Some of the current contenders are Space Jam and Happy Gilmore. Join the event on Facebook, AEPi Presents Netflix N' Grill, to suggest movies and vote on the ones you would like to see!
Aside from food, AEPi will be selling their infamous "Party with Jews" tank tops at $15 a shirt. If you wear a previous "Party with Jews" tank during the event, you will receive reduced pricing on food items! If you can't make it to the event, you can also purchase the shirts via email, netflixngrilljmu@gmail.com or visit this site to purchase tanks online and have them shipped directly to you!
Join the brothers on the Commons this week your chance to buy a tank early. By purchasing a tank during the week, you will receive a voucher for FREE food during the event! You can find them next to D-Hall, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 11 AM - 3 PM and Wednesday from 2 PM - 6 PM. Don't forget your spare change for this, as sorority penny wars will be set-up. Best of all, get your chance to pie an AEPi!
The location of the event is at the AEPi house at 680 S Mason St across the street from Student Success Center.
Jordan Taylor, a sophomore brother, is excited about this event. "There's nothing more I enjoy than bringing the community together for a great cause, while enjoying a great array of delicious food and movie favorites. It's an event you won't want to miss."
