In honor of my mom's birthday (39 again can you believe it!) I'd like to share a few words of wisdom she has given to with me through the years.
One important thing is to never let anyone tell you that you can't do something. Don't even let yourself tell you you can't do something. My mom has done a great job of instilling in me that giving up is not an option so don't let it be. Now this is probably the most difficult to accomplish because sometimes giving up seems like the best option. I have learned to believe it might be in the moment, but it will not be in the long run.
I also learned it is very important to do your research on everything. From buying a vacuum to insurance my mom is strict on this one. Make sure you know what you are getting yourself into. I used this before a job interview, and realized the company was not at all what I wanted to be a part of. It saved me time and answered a lot of questions.
Something I didn't understand then, but understand now, is to take pictures. My mom takes pictures for everything, and I am talking everything. It is nice to look back and see all the snaps she has taken throughout the years.
So to my mom happy birthday, and I hope everyone can use the advice she has given me.
