Advice For Any Girl Who Loves Starbucks, But Has Zero Bonus Dollars Left

Ever since Starbucks opened with the new student center, I'm pretty sure I've stood in the 10-minute line almost every day for the last two weeks. I have been waiting for this coffee shop to open since I stepped on campus freshman year and figured out a Starbucks was in the near future (turned out to be three years later... it's fine). The only downside to this is I'm running out of bonus dollars at an alarming rate. Anyone else?

So, if you're like me, someone who is quickly running out of bonus dollars due to her coffee addiction (or you are completely out... bless your heart), here's some advice.

I know it may feel like the end of the world, but I promise you, it's not. We've made it this far without one, so we can make it a little bit longer. This will be easier said than done, I'll be honest. But, there is also a thing called using real money to pay for coffee. You'll get to the point where you'll do anything to feed your coffee addiction.

However, if you're like most broke college students, find a friend who hasn't used any of their bonus dollars. Latch on to them and never let go. Be their best friend, and maybe if they're nice enough, they will buy you a cup of coffee. There have been semesters pre-Starbucks that I have struggled to use all my bonus dollars by the end of the semester, so I was more than happy to treat a friend to Chick Fil A.

Now that Starbs is in town though, this will not be the case.

The last thing you should know is that this will not last long. Next semester will come, and you will start over with $300 (more or less) worth of bonus dollars, and the cycle can start all over again.

But, knowing myself, I will never learn. I will continue to use all my bonus dollars on Starbucks and will get to the same point next semester where I'm willing to do anything to get a cup of joe.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
