Ad Astra Perciclum weekly update entails:
Our past week’s goals were slowed due to weather conditions such as hurricane Irma. The hurricane caused campus to be closed for nine days. However during this break I was able to get the dynamic generation script to a manageable state. A working UI (User Interface) is next to completion. Core functions of the UI are complete with small features being left to complete later. Art will be needed but, functionality was our main focus on generating the UI. I am currently getting the team to work on a map generator for the planets in which we can add to the planets that are generated. We will then move into also taking the information from these generated planets and insert the information into the UI so that players can visibly call the information of the planet and detect that said planet is perhaps an oceanic planet the player can colonize.
After we iron out the “kinks” in Dynamic generation of planetary systems. Refining the UI system will be our next goal followed by completely finishing Space Combat. Shortly afterward we will work on colonization, human modeling, and interactions within starbases .
