Women can be difficult to shop for, not as difficult as men, but we are particular. So, I'll help you out with a list I compiled of all things women will love.

1. Barefoot Dreams blanket.

This is heaven on Earth. It will make her feel like an angel when she cocoons in her new blanket curling up on the couch or in bed. You can buy them anywhere but I find Nordstrom has a wide selection and free shipping doesn't hurt.

2. Candles.

It's cliché but it is for a reason. We love when things smell good and you really can't go wrong with giving a Yankee Candle or a Henry Bendel candle as a present.

3. Electric kettle.

This gift option requires that she drinks tea or coffee (using a french press). If she does, then this is a great addition to her kitchen tools. It boils water in a fraction of the time it takes a traditional kettle. It's magical. Amazon offers a whole selection to choose from.

4. Mascara.

I get that it might be odd to buy someone mascara, but it is also something women use regularly, and if you get us a nice wand of mascara, we will love you dearly. I recommend Chanel's Le Volume De Chanel, Mac's False Lashes or Lancôme's Hypnose. They are all great and available at any department store.

5. Essential oil diffuser.

This isn't for every woman, but if she likes essential oils or is looking to make a room smell nice while also zen-ing out then this is the gift for her. Amazon offers a vast selection and prime options.

6. Tickets to her favorite artist/band/festival.

This will wow her for sure. Find out who she really wants to see in concert and then choose seats (or day passes) within your designated price range. It's a sentimental gift that will make her feel like you really know her.

7. Calvin Klein sports bra.

These may seem overrated at first glance but any woman or girl that has one (of many) knows that these are actually amazing. Although they are "trendy" right now they are super soft and perfect for lounging around or casual day activities; I don't recommend going running in them though. You can go to my favorite store, Nordstrom, to find one.

8. Moroccanoil products.

These products will leave her hair smooth and shiny. The Moroccanoil Treatment is a must and helps keep the ends' of her hair compliant.

9. Nordstrom gift card.

It's hard to go wrong with a Nordstrom gift card, in fact, I think it might be impossible. Pretty much anything she wants she can buy at Nords, so it truly is a great gift.

10. Spa day.

Whether it's a simple mani-pedi or a full day of spa activities, this is sure to please. Opt for a massage, facial, wrap or a combination of them all to make her feel on top of the world.

11. Cash money.

Give her the option to pick something that she like on your dime. You won't have to fear about her not liking that piece of jewelry or bizarre knick-knack when you give her the gift of dollar bills.

12. Face masks.

Most women will not turn down a nice face mask. You can purchase these pretty much anywhere -they are all the rage right now it seems- such as Target, Nordstrom or Lush to name a few. Lush offers a wide variety to choose from and they are handmade, so that's a win.

13. Donation to a charity.

This is the do good, feel good option. If you know a woman that is super passionate about a certain organization, make a donation in turn for getting her a gift. Not all women want to give up the opportunity for an additional present, but for those that are, this is a great choice and there are so many different organizations out there to donate to.

14. Bootay Bag.

A monthly subscription for a pair of undies (cute ones!) for $12. Women generally enjoy having nice, pretty underwear and here is a not-so-weird way to gift it to her. Each month Bootay Bag designs a new batch and ships them out for free! Get her a month or two and she will feel like a new woman. They also make beautiful bralettes!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
