Mexican officials in are now focusing on disaster relief projects after a 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck Mexico City. Emergency responders and volunteers are currently clearing the rubble of what is left in the country's capitol and hopes to find survivors. At least 225 people are confirmed dead and that number is expected to rise as rescue crews search the remains of the city.

This disaster comes comes not even a month after the country was struck by a 8.4 earthquake. From the 225 confirmed death toll are reports of more 20 children among the dead after an elementary school collapsed from the force of this quake. There are currently 30 of these children that are still missing.

And while the images of destruction begin to flow into the media, there has yet to be any word from the White House on sending aid to Mexico to help with search and rescues and the clean up. Tensions are still high between President Trump and Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto after Trump dismissed aid from Mexico in the wake of Hurricane Harvey in Texas and failed to acknowledge condolences for Mexico after their first earthquake. Thus far the only comments President Trump has made about this disaster can be seen on his Twitter.

So seriously Trump, how narcissistic do you have to be to ignore two major natural disasters in one of our greatest allied countries and keep pushing your border wall? At this point, no matter how hard you preach it, I highly doubt Mexico is going to pay for your racist tantrum that you claim is for "national security" when they have two major reconstruction projects. The U.S. needs to swallow their pride and help the neighboring country when they truly need it most. After all, they continued to stay loyal to us after the extended their aid to help with victims of Hurricane Harvey; it was because of Trump's ego that the U.S. declined.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
