1. Learn to clean.
There’s no one to clean your room in college. Take care of yourself and don’t live in a pile of your own crap.
2. Know some basics in cooking.
Unless you plan on eating out for every meal of your adult life, pick up some skills while you’re in college.
3. Stick to your appointments and don’t forget about them.
All you have is your word. If you don’t stick to appointments, whether with job employers or with friends, you lose credibility.
4. Stop gossiping.
Unnecessary drama and endless talks about other people’s business should’ve been left behind in high school.
5. Start paying some of your own bills if you don’t already.
Another step towards financial independence.
6. Complain less.
No one cares about your petty little problems as much as you do.
7. Go to the gym. Take care of your body.
Retain your youth while you have it.
8. Check the news every so often.
It’s good to have an awareness of the real world.
9. Take control of your bank account and finances.
Avoid binge spending and save up!
10. Be responsible for your actions and grades. It’s not the professor’s fault you failed the course.
11. Keep in contact with friends and family.
12. Play fewer video games and watch less TV.
You shouldn’t have time for it anymore!
13. Find your passion.
Possibly the hardest on this list but the most important.
