It has been a long week. I was so stressed about two anatomy exams that I had within the week. I was so nervous and stressed out. Everyday I studied until I went to bed with a migraine. I had to put a lot of pressure on myself because I figured that I needed to be unfair to myself so I can push myself to get grades that I would be happy with. My roommate always told me that I am putting too much pressure on myself, but it was obvious that I had to in order to push myself to do well. I studied all weekend for the exams and the day before the first one I fell asleep at 12:30AM. On Monday, I studied all day until the time of the exam. After I finished the exam, I was relieved. I knew that I got one out of the way, but now my main focus was on the upcoming exam on Wednesday. I was so scared about taking this one because I felt like I could not do it, but my Professor helped me focus on the concepts that I needed to study. She gave me strength and she believed in me when I needed it most. I was pretty sure that I would not be able to do it. While I was taking the exam, my hands were shaking. After I took the exam, she told our class that we have to stay because we had lab. I stayed after to work on the new chapter that we started learning about and while we were working, she told us that she was going to grade our test. I was impatient as I stood there, waiting for my test to be graded. She started with my friend's and she got a perfect score. I was scared of getting a bad grade because I work really hard and I studied like I have never studied before. When she finally called me to tell me that i can come see my grade, I was scared and my heart was beating faster by the second. When I looked, I saw 93/100. I was so happy that I cried. My Professor was so proud of me. She saw that the time she put the effort in with me after lab going through my notes were worth it. I was so proud of myself and I know I worked hard to ace my exam. My friends were so happy because we all got an excellent score. I was glad to study with them and I am glad that I have friends and a Professor that can help me when I need their help most.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
