Why Acceleration Is Coming This Season
Techbriefs

Last Sunday, our pastor's best friend, Renny McLean, released a powerful word in reference to a vision that he had. He had a vision of a big door in which the door transformed into an angel. God told him that the name of the angel was "the accelerator." Not only that, but God told him that in CAP (Conferencia Apostólica y Profética, translated as Apostolic and Prophetic Conference), our annual conference as a church, the angel of accelerator would arrive and bring shifts in different areas in our lives. The areas in our live can be anywhere from our finances, to new relationships, to open doors, and even healings and miracles.

In October, our church is getting ready to experience one of the most powerful outpourings of the Holy Spirit at CAP. An outpouring is like water filling a cup, and sometimes we continue to pour water until it flows over the cup. The filling of water becomes too much to the point that it extends outside of the cup. In this similar way, God wants to fill us with his presence, so that we can take it to the different ends of the Earth. CAP accelerated to become the biggest and most diverse conference of the world today. In any country, there is not or hasn't been a gathering of pastors, evangelists, or preachers of God's word from different nationalities. The same way that people have heard and have come to experience that outpouring, God wants us to accelerate in our own lives, as well.

There are three things that we must keep in mind about the voice of God, just as McLean mentioned.

1. When God speaks, he creates.

God doesn't make any mistakes. Every time that he uses someone to release a prophetic word, he has a specific task and a purpose to do it. He doesn't just say acceleration just because he feels like it. If he puts in the heart of a man of God to put that word out, it is to bring the truth of that message in the present. Therefore, if he speaks something, it is because he is beginning to create something. When he said "let there be light," light was made.

2. When God speaks, he transforms.

Every time that God speaks, it is with the intention to transform a human being. He longs for us to be transformed and to be different. Therefore, sometimes he needs to bring us out of that pit that we put ourselves in. He has to speak to change our heart, our mindset, or our problems.

3. When God speaks, he produces faith in our hearts.

Lastly, when God speaks through a person, faith is ignited. When I hear testimonies or stories of people that have been blessed financially, or that needed a miracle and that God delivered that miracle, I get inspired and motivated to believe for more! That is exactly what God wants for us!

We have entered into the month of August. When the month started, God reminded me that August is the eighth month of the year. The number eight signifies new beginnings, open doors, and windows of opportunities. It is not a coincidence that God reminded me of that. Prophetically speaking, God is about to release something new in the heavens, and we must be ready to catch it, receive it, and grasp it with everything we have, and it starts with this message of acceleration!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
