Enjoying a snow day can be just as fun as your grade-school days! (After you finish shoveling, of course.)

9 Ways To Celebrate The Snow As An Adult

After getting battered by two Nor'Easters within one week, we're all waiting for some sunshine and warmer weather over on the east coast. The first day of spring is right around the corner, but just in case Mother Nature has another winter storm up her sleeve, here are nine ways to make the most out of it.

1. Netflix, Netflix, and some more Netflix!

Find a good movie, finish a season in your series, or get lost in a documentary. If you need some suggestions, check out this list of the best shows to binge-watch right now. If TV shows aren’t your thing, check out these popular Netflix movies.

2. Clean your space.

We know cleaning sounds super boring, but think about it this way: would you rather spend a warm spring day stuck inside scrubbing your floors? Nope. Wake up early and spend the day cleaning so that your area is ready for relaxation later that night!

Pro Tip: Play your favorite Spotify or Apple Music playlist to make the festivities a bit more enjoyable!

3. Test out some new recipes!

Dig out grandma’s cookbook or check out some Pinterest boards to find some fun recipes to try out. Whether it’s a hearty dinner or some yummy baked goods, there’s something about the snow that makes spending time in the kitchen even more enjoyable.

4. Play board games.

If you're snowed in with your roommates, family, and friends, get them to join in on the fun! Sit by the fire and play classics like Clue, Sorry, Trouble, or my family’s favorite—Monopoly.

5. Pamper yourself!

Paint your nails, do your hair, or give yourself a facial. Lucky for you, I just wrote an article about the best (and most affordable) facemasks.

6. Take a nap.

Find your favorite PJ’s and blankets and cuddle up on the couch or in bed and ride out the snow storm.

7. Catch up on work.

Even though the cold weather correlates with feeling lazy or fatigued, don’t use it as an excuse to avoid being productive. Finish up those notes, make edits to that paper, and submit your assignments before the sun comes out and the temperatures rise!

8. Channel your inner kid!

Build a snowman, have a snowball fight, or go sledding. It’s not every day you get to bundle up and play in the snow!

9. Read a book.

(Sounds old fashioned, I know.) Truth be told, there’s few things more relaxing than sitting next to a window with a snowy view and reading a novel. Immersing yourself in the pages of a good book is one of the most rewarding feelings! Check out this list of great books to read this year.

Whether you're 18 or 28, hopefully you can enjoy the snowy weather!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
