9 Thoughts Every Sorority Girl Has

We are all guilty of caring too much about our photos and letters and throwing what we know at any chance we get.

9 Thoughts Every Sorority Girl Has

Being a sorority girl isn't an easy thing to explain. Though we know our formal date doesn't care that much about if we get a cute laughing photo or even what we were thinking about that made us laugh, we can't help but care about it a little too much ourselves.

1. Arm, head, smile.

We all have our photo-ready ritual; that photo can not be taken 'til our skinny arm is popped, our head is tilted exactly 25 degrees to the right, and our smile is perfect.

2. Are you staring at my chest or my letters?

When you are wearing your letters and some guy is staring at your chest, or maybe letters, and it makes it the conversation really awkward. What do I do now? I'll just walk away now...

3. Did you just call MY Big, BIG? DO you want to fight?

I know you're my sister, but I will fight you. She is my big. I have a million photos and a shirt to prove it, plus, we are ordering another one, so this is getting pretty serious. You need to step back. Sit down and drink some water, she's mine. Forever and always.

4. I wonder where she got her dress from?

When you get distracted in chapter because a girl's dress is too cute and that's all you can think about. Why isn't it mine?

5. If I don't get serenaded today, I will cry...

This is really the only reason I am in this sorority... Not really, but it does help my chapter attendance.

6. No, I didn't buy my friends.

"I'm in a sorority..." "Oh, it must be nice to buy your friends."

7. Why do they call it a frat party? There are never any guys here.

Enough said.

8. SHE is my SISTER.

When someone says they don't like one of your sisters and you suddenly get really protective, even though you aren't close.

9. Home isn't four walls anymore.

When your sorority is having a moment and you look around the group of girls who made the definition of home no longer include four walls and a roof. They made it them.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
