Morgantown is arguably the most LIT campus on game day. We shut down parking just so tailgaters from all around can come camp out before a game. There's no denying that we're a football town. But with this statement, there's an underlying question: what do the people of WVU and of Morgantown do on the weekends we DON'T have a home game? Well, here's a few things:
1. Hiking at Cooper's Rock
Cooper's Rock is a staple in our community. It's a beautiful overlook and it shows us the scenery that we live for: those West Virginia Hills.
2. Adventuring on the Rail Trail
The Rail Trail is a huge favorite of people who live in Morgantown! It spans a long distance down Decker's Creek and is sure to perk your spirits up even though you don't have college football!
3. See a Concert
Usually, there's always a band playing downtown at Mainstage Morgantown or 123 Pleasant St. This is always a good option!
4. Shopping on High Street
High Street has a lot of little shops and restaurants to choose from, so you're bound to find something to do!
5. Visit the WVU Core Arboretum
If you really like nature, go visit the Core Arboretum!
6. Tour Campus
The WVU campus is SO BEAUTIFUL. Go check it out on your free day so you can truly enjoy it!
7. Ice Skating
We have an ice skating rink in Morgantown, so once the colder football months set in, go ice skating!
8. Homework
We all know you need to study for that midterm you have next week. Get off Netflix and hit the books, fam.
9. Netflix Binge
Let's be real, you didn't pay attention to number 8.
