Being a redhead is a wonderful thing. I embrace the sassiness and spunkiness come along with the stereotypical "fiery" personality--and come on, you're naturally unique and rare. I'm sure you've heard this before, but less than 2% of people in the WORLD have red hair. THE WORLD!! That's pretty cool. Because of this uniqueness, sometimes people like to poke fun (because they're jealous lol) but you also get compliments. If you're a ginger, here are 9 things you can probably relate to.

1. Ginger. Jokes.

"Soulless," "Don't forget the sunscreen," "Your hair is on fire," "Where are your eyebrows?" etc. etc. I'm sure you've heard them all. Usually, your response will consist of something along the lines of "GOOD ONE." or "Wow, never heard that one before." Most of the time I'm unbothered by these one-liners and I even laugh because the joke's on them they AREN'T a ginger.

2. People thinking that you're related to every other redhead

True story: I worked at a bakery with another redhead and at least once a day customers would ask how it's like to work with my sister/cousin. I'd kindly inform them that we aren't related, and they'd seem shocked. One time someone even asked, "are you sure?" Yes. 100% positive.

3. One word: Pale

My skin is insanely pale. No, I don't get "color" in the sun if you are referring to a sun-kissed glow. Now if you mean burnt to a crisp, yes my skin is fully capable of that. Now what really gets me going is when someone who is obviously much tanner than me says "oh I'm so pale." Like, have you seen me?? Anyway, fake tan for the win. Or, just embrace the pale--it's who you are.

4. "You have a lot of freckles" Or that ALL gingers have freckles

Thanks for noticing. Personally, I LOVE my freckles. I think they're amazing (plus they add some color to my skin). And, everyone is different (yes even gingers). Not all of us have freckles.

5. "You must have a temper"

Maybe you do, maybe you don’t, but just because you have red hair doesn’t necessarily make you a hot head.

6. We aren't all Irish

I hate to disappoint.

7. People MUST know if it's natural

Yup. Grew it myself.

8. "You look like (insert any famous redhead celebrity)"

I get this a lot. Wouldn't be surprised if someone argued that I was a dead-ringer for Rupert Grint.

9. The compliments, including "You can't get that out of a bottle" and "Never dye it!"

There are people out there who recognize how awesome red hair is. Power to the Gingers.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
