Living with someone else can be incredibly annoying and incredibly fun at the same time. The feelings are so conflicting. Do you love them? Do you hate them? Maybe a little of both. Here are 9 things you hate about your roommate!
1. No alone time
There is always someone in your place! Your roomie probably wants to chat about her day or has friends over so finding time to just bask in some quiet, alone time can be a struggle.
2. Poor alarm clock habits.
I mean COME ON do you have to snooze 6 times and let it ring for 15 minutes before you get out of bed? NO. I'm trying to sleep.
3. You have to share everything.
Honestly, it's a lot like having a sibling. Nothing is more annoying than someone who takes your things and doesn't ask. Any statement that begins with "do you have ... " is dreaded by all.
4. Unexpected guests are the worst
Sure, roommates are a great way to meet new people, but when your roommate invites their best friend over and they stay for an entire week - someone is bound to see someone else in their underwear and I just don't know you like that.
5. Different sleep schedules!
When they're coming in at 2 AM from the library and you're fast asleep, it pretty much sucks when you're woken up by the slamming door, running shower, and general noise making.
6. You have to label your food!
Let's be honest, you knew that leftover spaghetti belonged to me. DON'T TOUCH MY FOOD.
7. They slept late and you couldn't.
The only thing more annoying than being woken up by your roommate is trying not to wake them up when you have to get ready.
8. They watched episodes without you.
We started Greys Anatomy on Netflix together, we watch it together!
9. They aren't home.
They may get on your nerves sometimes and adjusting to living with another person can be a constant struggle. But most of the time it's really nice to know that there is someone there! You come home and you have someone to talk to about your day or go to get food with you at unreasonable hours of the night! So it's a bummer when no one is there to do those things with/for you!
