College is a wonderful place to chase your dreams and become the person you've always wanted to be. My dreams lie among the major of Wildlife and Conservation Biology. Do I know what I want to do yet? Absolutely not. It's fine. Those in the realm of Natural Resources will know these nine things to be very true.
1. There are always guys in your classes with full on beards
You always wonder how they managed to grow that much facial hair.
2. There is always someone who sucks up to every professor you have, and it gets annoying really fast
We get it, you want to get ahead of the rest of us as fast as you can, but news flash, not every professor likes a suck up.
3. The know-it-all. You all know who it is.
They go above and beyond to really showcase how smart they are compared to everyone else, so seeing them screw up just makes your entire day.
4. You're always seeing the same group of people all the time
I personally like to people watch, and seeing the same group of people over and over again gets pretty bland.
5. What people wear can go from very redneck to converse and a cute dress
Some of us look like we're in the right place, while others look like they're in the wrong major, let alone the wrong class.
6. There is always someone who's never prepared for field work
Oh, we're going outside today? I thought that was next class!
7. You have some pretty weird people in your classes
These people make you hesitant to admit what your major is. I'm all for being yourself, but they should probably tone it down a tad.
8. Darwin's Finches
Every day. Every year. For all four years.
9. Overachievers
We get it, you love what you do. Don't look down on the rest of us who aren't like you. It gets old pretty fast.
