9 Sure Signs You're In Walt Disney World

In my eyes, Walt Disney World really is the happiest place on earth. And for most people, children, and adults, it is a very magical experience. My family usually goes to Disney every two years, so lets just say I've been there a lot. During my many trips to Disney I've realized there are things, experiences and feelings that are exclusive to Disney World (Disney Land too).

If you've never been to Disney, or you're a frequent visitor, you will most likely experience these during a trip to the most magical place on earth:

1. You're actually excited to see a huge mouse.

Normally you'd freak out if you saw a giant mouse, now you wait in a long line to meet one!

2. Buses, boats and monorails

It may take you planes, trains and automobiles to get to Orlando but once you're there Disney transportation takes you anywhere you need to go.

3. You pay for everything with your magic band.

Since you charge everything to your magic band you stop carrying a wallet, which is fine until you come home.

4. Children are crying in the happiest place on earth.

We know they're hot, hungry and tired. And yes, those giant characters are kind of scary.

5. You will pay $20 for a mug.

But only because you're in Disney.

6. Everything you eat is Mickey shaped.

Pretzels, waffles, ice cream, fruit... should I go on?

7. You're willing to wait in line for at least an hour.

Even though the ride only lasted a minute, the 60-minute wait was worth it.

8. You're excited when 92 degrees is the coolest day of the week.

102, 99, 103, 92 (yes!), 100, 98...

9. You can't help but release your inner child.

Disney has something for all ages, even at my age. I can't wait for our next trip!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
