I spent the entire month of October in the mindset of fall. The leaves changing colors, breaking out the sweaters and boots and jeans, preparing myself for Halloween, Halloween actually coming around and listening to songs like "Spooky Scary Skeletons" and "This is Halloween" from "The Nightmare Before Christmas."
But once that clock strikes midnight on November 1st, the pumpkins are away, the tinsels come out, "Jingle Bells" is on repeat, and my mind is ready for Christmas. Keep in mind that it is not December yet, but my excitement is just too much! So, here are nine signs that you might be ready for Christmas in the fall, like I am.
1. On November 1st, your Spotify playlist consists of only Christmas songs.
2. You pulled out the candy cane long johns from the back of your pajama drawer.
3. You set reminders for what is playing next month on ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas.
It will always be ABC Family no matter what the name of the channel is.
4. You found the blueprints of the house so you can start to check off all of the good "present" hiding places.
My mom is notorious for starting to Christmas shop in July. There are some bags from our Disney and Universal trip that I couldn't look in...
5. Your Halloween costume is an elf.
6. You resent the fact that Target STILL has Halloween stuff out a few days before Halloween.
Like seriously. if you don't have a costume planned by October 1st, go as a ghost-like Eleven in Stranger Things. Make room for the ornaments, lights, and Christmas trees!!
7. Thanksgiving? That's practice day for Christmas dinner.
But the food coma at the end of dinner is still worth it.
8. You'll know you'll receive some presents if someone was really paying attention to your wish list.
Not only that, you sent that wish list via email, text, and left hard copies of it in strategic and obvious places in your house. Like the bulletin board where the grocery list goes, taped to bathroom mirrors, the car steering wheel, attached to Mom's wine bottle corkscrew, et cetera.
9. You've started making room in your drawers for all of the clothes you'll receive as presents on Christmas Day.
Because it is known for teens my age to mostly receive clothes on this holiday. But hey, it's free clothes.
