Let’s be honest, it’s a Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday and you are questioning if you should go out or not. But now it's coming time to when you need to start getting ready and what’s that? You really only go to one bar?

That’s OK, because Scruffy Murphy's (aka Scruffs) has all that you need. So raise those X’d hands minors and for those of the legal age raise a cold one to one of your favorite bars in Waco. This is a list of the best, and appropriate, reasons one must rally for an evening of entertainment at Scruffs:

1. Freedom

You had a rough week and need to let loose on the people infested, sweat infused dance floor. Whether you’re a great dancer or you need some liquid courage to get you going, the dance floor is all yours, so own it.

2. Being Social

Maybe you want to broaden your friend circle, and if that means talking to strangers, then so be it. (Hint: ladies, the women’s restroom is an ideal place to make friends. You can bond over how much you both have to pee and how the girls in front of you are taking way too long. Gentlemen, I don’t know if the same goes for your restroom, but you can just make friends near the bar, the pool table, the dance floor, the picnic tables outside or maybe the Pac-Man machine.)

3. Potential Mate

You want to see if that hot guy/gal you saw the other weekend will be there. There’s nothing better than seeing someone you think is attractive show up unexpectedly. Let the curiosity build your anticipation, it’s healthyish and it beats studying.

4. A Change in Scenery

So you’ve been to the other local bars and you’re getting fed up with their same old, same old kind of night or maybe they closed, aka Muddle. So naturally you wanted to return to your sanctuary (aka Scruffs).

5. Waiting For Ray

You have a desire to wait a ridiculously long time in line for Ray (or substitute for your go to bar’s bouncer) to grant you admission into the mediocre establishment. It's absolutely thrilling to wait outside for 45 minutes when there is hardly anyone inside. Why Ray? Why? Just let us in, please!

6. New Outfit

You just bought a hot new shirt or a fresh pair of kicks and you’re just itching to wear said item(s) out in public. You know you’re are going to be looking FINEEE and you can’t wait to hear that you look great (even though you already know it).

7. Games

Maybe socializing with strangers isn't your thing, so instead you get your Pac-Man or pool game fix. Unleash your competitive side and get that new high score or absolutely demolish your opponent(s); it helps alleviate some of the student stress.

8. It's A Wednesday

You know what that means: Karaoke. Need I say more?

9. Cheap

Scruffs may be nasty and it may be borderline disease ridden, but it's inexpensive to those of the legal age.
