The sun is shining and you can now start to count down the days till the last day of school. Spring break has arrived and college students couldn’t be more relieved. Spring break is a week to get outside and enjoy time with friends before heading back to the books for the last two months of school. For all those spring breakers going on trips to Florida or California or anywhere else warm, here are some kinds of people you will encounter during your plane ride or road trip.
1. The Sleeper
These people don’t take early morning flights so well. Or they can’t help but fall asleep in the car while you jam out to your Spotify playlist. They are in their own little bubble and don’t mind the casual snooze.
2. The Worker
People who are dressed in suits or blazers with briefcases are on business trips. You know they will not be experiencing any beach action. They are workaholics and don’t mind traveling every month or even every other week. They whip out their computers as soon as they are able to on the plane. They answer every phone call and notifications on their phone starts to get really annoying.
3. The Overly Proud Dad
The older man you are sitting next to on the plane could go on and on about his daughter who is planning on graduating law school in the spring. He even pulls out his wallet to show you pictures of her and the rest of his family. He has endless stories to tell and doesn’t care if you don’t want to listen.
4. The Drunk
There is always some bachelor or bachelorette group looking for some drinks for the Mr. and Mrs. to be. They are overly loud and obnoxious but you can’t help but smile while you eavesdrop on their conversations.5. The Worrier
Don’t get me wrong, flying thousands of kilometers high with over a hundred other people in a huge plane can be pretty scary. I don’t blame the people on the plane for slipping a little something special in their coke to calm their nerves. Driving on a busy highway can also be frightening. The back seat drivers can be irritating.
6. The Readers
You get so jealous of those people who can read for hours on a plane or a car and not feel lightheaded or dizzy. They have their noses stuck in a book and hours seem to go by.
7. The Sickie
The person who will not stop coughing or blowing their nose. You cringe every time they bend over an inch towards your direction.
8. Spring Breakerz
You might roam in this category. Do you call your friend group “squad” and wear flip flops and sunglasses on the plane?
9. The Cute Old Couple
The couple that holds hands and is everyone’s imagined “couple goals.” They are probably traveling to visit one of their children or an old friend. They may have a condo in Florida that they go to every winter. You can’t help but wish to be them one day.
Spring break is a time to travel and experience life in a new light. Take note of the people you meet so you can become that person who tells endless stories.
