Alright, guys, I hate to be the one to say it, but somebody has to... Finals are coming up. I know we all don't want to acknowledge that because it stresses us out, but it's becoming hard to avoid. Our teachers are starting to talk about finals, which means the stress is right around the corner for us. Luckily, I'm here to help. I've compiled a list of some pre-finals stress relief.
1. Netflix binge
Laying in bed watching endless episodes of a show is incredibly relaxing. Before finals hit you hard, enjoy some binge time.
2. Meditation
3. Take a nice bath
Fill that tub with hot water and bubble bath, light some candles, put on some relaxing music, and maybe even grab a glass of wine, and just take some time to yourself to de-stress.
4. Go for a drive
Pick up a friend, and drive with no real destination. Focus on the road and having fun with your friend, it'll clear your head.
5. Hang out with friends
Spending time with people you love and care about is one of the best ways to relieve stress. Being around people and having fun with them is such an easy way to take your mind off of any stress you might be experiencing. Plus, your friends can also be really good to vent to about your stress and they can offer advice for dealing with it or offer you just comfort in general.
6. Music
Music is one of the best kinds of stress relief that doesn't require much. You can write music if it helps with your stress, or if you're like me and have no musical abilities, you can listen to it. Maybe listen to some angry rock when you need to release some anger. Or listen to some calming music when you need to relax. Music is such a great stress relief tool, use it!!
7. Get your nails done
Getting your nails done is just such a relaxing experience, it's hard to be stressed when those acrylics are looking so good.
8. Play video games
There is just something so stress relieving about getting a high place in Fortnite, or running around in a virtual reality with a gun in GTA, or even getting the sack in Madden.
9. Exercise
Excercise releases endorphins, which make you feel good. Also, punching something can feel really good when you're stressed. So can lifting weights, or running an extra mile, or anything like that.
These are just 9 stress relief tactics we could all use to cope. Stress is natural, but it is also a very hard thing to deal with sometimes, so don't be afraid to ask friends for help dealing with stress also.
