Ellen DeGeneres is the host of one of America’s most popular talk shows. She is hilarious, entertaining, kind-hearted, and always there to give a helping hand. Ellen doesn’t just use her show to entertain, she uses it to donate money and make the world a better place. I decided to dedicate this article to all of Ellen’s best appearances, and I guarantee each of them will bring a smile to your face.

1. Macey Hensley

Macey is easily my favorite person that Ellen has had on the show. She is an 8-year-old presidential expert, and she was only five the first time she appeared on Ellen. She is one of the most hilarious and adorable guests of all time.

2. Noah Ritter

Noah is another adorable kid who appeared on Ellen. He is so laughable. Noah first became famous when he was interviewed on a local news station and not long after, it went viral.

3. Military homecoming

Ellen does a lot of military homecoming surprises, but I think this one is my favorite. This couple is so sweet and their reunion will bring tears to your eyes.

4. Michelle Obama

Ellen took the former first lady, Michelle Obama, shopping at CVS to prepare her for life outside of the White House. Ellen’s goal was to teach Michelle how to shop for herself, and the outcome was absolutely hilarious!

5. Ellen's never-ending scares

One of Ellen’s favorite things to do on the show is scaring her guests. This video is a montage of all her best scares. You’ll be laughing so hard you’ll cry.

6. Tom Hanks

Tom Hanks and Ellen have a “Pixar-off” where the two of them talk in their Pixar voices, and let me tell you, it’s magical. Hanks always knows how to put a smile on my face.

7. A blind and deaf teen who isn't giving up

Marvin's story is incredibly inspiring. Although becoming blind and deaf at a young age, he has never given up. He is defying all odds by playing football while also inspiring others. His positive attitude is contagious.

8. College acceptance brothers

Growing up in tough times has not stopped these two boys from working hard and getting accepted into their dream colleges. Their stories will inspire you to work harder and realize that nothing is impossible.

9. Spelling teacher prank

I’m sure everyone can appreciate teachers for all of their hard work. But, a teacher who goes the extra mile to make his students laugh and his classroom feel like a safe space is very special. This appearance is not only hilarious, but it’s heartwarming, too.

Her positive attitude is contagious and every guest she has on the show is unique. Whenever I'm feeling down, I always love to watch a few videos on Ellen's channel. Now, maybe you will too!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
