With Christmas being right around the corner, stress level is at an all time high for some of us gift-givers. Finals are coming for some of us, and buying gifts is the last thing we college students want to think about! It's crucial to watch the sales (and hey, if you get a dollar store mug, who will notice?) and plan accordingly to get your gifts on a budget.
For Her:
1. Candles
Although it is a more feminine gift, candles can go either way when it comes to Christmas. A good substitute for the $30 Yankee Candle your mom loves, run to Walmart and get her the "off-brand" scent! You'll save about $25, and you know she'll love it.
2. Nail polish
For you mom, aunt, sister, or bff, nail polish can't go wrong! During your Target run you can grab a few wintery colors for them to love.
3. Body wash/lotion
Everyone loves to smell good and feel clean! Head on over to Bath and Body Works and grab a few male and female scents that your family and friends will love! For extra measure, throw in a lufa and a matching lotion, just make sure they like the smell!
For Him:
1. A wallet/money clip
You can't go wrong with getting your dad (or your man) a nice wallet to keep everything in! You could go the next step and grab him a money clip to go with it, too.
2. Lounge pants
Comfy pants to lay around in are always a good start to winter break. Check out the sale racks at Sears or Walmart and get some funny prints for the guys in your life!
3. Cologne
Cologne can be expensive, but it usually last a long time. Find out his favorite scent, and get a gift box set, which usually includes more than one scent, plus body wash. He'll love it, and smell great. It's a win-win!
For kids:
1. Stuffed animals
If they're younger, you can't go wrong with a stuffed animal! Find out their favorite and get them a little friend that they can cuddle with for years to come.
2. Books
Even though it sounds boring, lots of kids love to read. Find out their favorite book series, or get them book themed gifts (blankets, toys, etc.). It will be even better if you can read it to them before bed!
3. Gift card
If they're in the tween/teen years, kids can be hard to buy for. Sometimes money or gift cards are the way to go! Grab a visa gift card and let them spend it where ever they please.
