8 Ways To Play With Your Dog This Summer

We love our dogs. For most people, we care for them like they're our children. In the warm summer weather, be sure to have fun with your pup. Explore and try new things together! This is the time to cross items off your bucket list, and who's to say none of them were on your dogs bucket list too?

Blow Bubbles

My pups love to pop bubbles in the summer, they can go for hours and hours without a break. Their tongue might be a little sudsy but it's worth the smile on their face! Bubbles are cheap and inexpensive so you won't be breaking your bank either. Sit back, relax, and blow some bubbles!

Play Frisbee or Catch

All you need is a tennis ball or frisbee to get the party started. Both are easy to find toys that all dogs love! Make sure you don't lose the frisbee to the wind though! Getting the tennis ball back might be a little difficult... but it's an added game of chase!

The Park

Dogs love parks! You can walk trails or pack a picnic, and spend the day enjoying some new scenery. Let your pup lead you down a different path while he follows his nose. Just remember how to get back to the car!

Paw Painting

Head to your local craft store and pick up a canvas and finger paints. Finger pants are safe and washable! Paint your pups paws and make a picture to commemorate the bond you have together!

Outdoor Baths

Baths are hard. Very hard. But in the summer you can grab the hose and dog shampoo and bathe them in the grass! This might also involve chasing your dog around the yard but much less stressful than being stuck in a bath tub

The Ocean

I think every pup should be able to feel the sand on their paws and the ocean air in their fur. Be sure to find beaches that allow dogs and let them experience the biggest pool in the world!

Hikes

Sometimes a walk around the block just isn't enough. Splurge a little and take a drive to a hiking path. Let your dog not only meet the ocean, but the terrain of the world outside of your home.

Sun Bathing

After all the fun and adventures, make sure to lay out in the summer sun with your pup. Fall asleep accidentally (just don't get burnt!) and wake to their warm fur right next to you.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
