Whether you have a dog, cat, bunny or even some kind of reptile, you know that often times there's a lot of struggles that go along with trying to cuddle them. While movies and books make it seem to be so easy and relaxing cuddling with your pet, it's much harder than it looks. You'll often find yourself having a million and two thoughts on what they are doing, why they are doing it or how on earth they got into the position they are in. Here are 8 thoughts everyone has while trying to cuddle with their favorite animal.
1. Please sit still.
Most animals are very energetic, even more so when you come home exhausted and all you want to do is go to sleep. So needless to say, often times before you go to sleep you're watching your animal friend run in circles on the bed, try to dig a hole to China in your blanket or try to get you to play with their favorite toy with them. Just please for the love of God, sit still and go to sleep.
2. Can you please stop licking yourself?
If you have a furry feline, licking themselves is their favorite way to pass the time. They can't do it quietly either-- no, they have to lick themselves as though they are a toddler finishing off the rest of their Popsicle.
3. Can you please stop licking me?
Thank you for the kisses but one is plenty for me. Why don't we lay down and sleep? Oh, you need to give more kisses, okay.
4. What are you eating?
You are chewing something, what is it? Why are you eating that? Stop eating that. That's going to make you sick. Stop it.
5. Why can't you just go to sleep?
Do you do this on purpose? Sleep all day just so you can keep me up all night? Cause that's not how this is gonna work.
6. Do you even have bones?
I swear some of the positions my animals can form themselves into is pretty impressive. They are like part contortionist or something.
7. Thank God, you finally laid down.
That sweet bliss moment that makes you feel so happy that you and your pet can successfully cuddle happily.
8. Annnddddd you moved again.
*Screams internally so loud that the Netherlands can hear you*
