Kids are cool and I hope to have my own some day... Only I have never been a huge fan of other people’s children. If you are on any scale of awkward about children, then this list will make sense to you.

1. When you see a kid walking your way...

You feel your heart rate go up and a slight sense of fear.

2. I had a woman ask me to hold her baby.

I was on a plane ride next to a mother and her 2-year-old. She asked me to hold him while she went to the bathroom. I obviously agreed and held the kid who cried for what felt like an hour. I have to admit he was one cute blonde-haired kid, though.

3. Do you want to babysit?

I make all the excuses possible to not have to watch over a little booger monster.

4. The struggle of making conversation.

I panic a little when I have to make small talk with kids. I mostly ask him or her about favorite TV shows or what he or she did today. Normally, I give them a high five and walk away.

5. When the crying starts.

Kids crying makes me want to join in on their pain.

6. Bratty kids.

The moment I see a kid being disrespectful or throwing a tantrum, I have to work to keep my cool.

7. When kids babble or make up incomplete sentences.

It’s cute and I know they are learning, but when they expect you to answer them back, not that cute. I do not speak minion, so I just nod my head.

8. Trust issues.

I think kids are little magicians or witches: you never know what they might do or get into.

Just a little humor for your day! Kids are awesome, funny and they can grow up to be incredible additions to society.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
