Being a human being is tough. Being a girl is also tough. You have to worry about how you look, how you act, how you dress, how you speak, how much money you're making, how your friends are doing, how your love life is going, and the list goes on. Here's a list of 8 things you can do to make your life a little bit easier.

1. Be nice to *literally* everyone.

Unless someone murders your family or kidnaps your dog, just be nice. If you have a running list of people you like, people you're shunning, and people you are actively being rude to then it's just going to add to your level of stress. Make a point to be polite and professional in every situation, it'll save you a lot of energy.

2. Take time for yourself

If you feel uncomfortable being alone with yourself then that's a BIG problem. Take a little time each day to get comfortable with who you are and what you like to do. Read a book, take a drive, clean your room, whatever you need to do.

3.Drink a ton of water.

Your mind, body, and skin will thank you for it.

4. Be as smart as you want to be.

I know so many girls who are afraid to raise their hand when they have a question. I also know so many girls that are afraid to raise their hand when they know the answer. Your level of intelligence is completely based on how badly you want to learn.

5. Buy a jar of coconut oil

You can use coconut oil on everything, I mean it, EVERYTHING. Put it in cookies or on your face or shave your legs with it. Head over to Whole Foods because I am about to change your life.

6. Stop waiting around for life to get good.

If you're wasting your whole week waiting around for the weekend then you're wasting half your life away! Have as much fun as you possibly can, whenever you can. You'll look back on this as the best time of your life.

7. Buy a planner and use it.

Being late is really uncool. Get a planner and fill it up with all the fabulous things you want to do (but write down your assignments too). Lists are the perfect way to hold yourself accountable for living your best life.

8. Be inclusive.

If you're going out on a Friday, invite that girl from your math class. Be there girl that is constantly making new friends. There's nothing more beautiful than a person who makes everyone feel like they belong. Being a bully is ugly.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
