8 Things Every Dog Owner Does But Would Never Admit

National Dog Day is August 26th, and we celebrate it by posting pictures of our dogs on social media. But when you have a dog, you have a best friend. They are so loving that you consider them part of the family. You probably sing your dog Happy Birthday on his birthday. You form a bond with them and they become your fur baby. Here’s some things every fur parent knows they do whether you are embarrassed to admit it or not. P.S.- enjoy the pictures of my dog, Bubba.

1. You watch them sleep.

If you've ever watched your dog sleeping, you probably felt a little creepy but also you were convinced that they are actually angels disguised as dogs.

2. You feel special when they greet you.

It could be two hours at the store or two months at college, dogs always show you how much they love and missed you while you were gone by jumping on you and running around as soon as you open the door.

3. You give them some really embarrassing nicknames.

My dog probably thinks his name is “little boy” or “poopy” instead of the name on his dog tag.

4. You take so many pictures of them that you had to make an album on your phone of just your dog being cute.

Also, your Snapchat and Instagram probably have to many pictures of your dog, but sorry not sorry.

5. You feed them some table food because you can’t deal with those sad begging eyes.

6. When someone asks if they can pet your dog, you secretly want to say no.

You say yes of course, but in your mind you're saying, “I give him plenty of cuddles, move along and get your own fur baby.”

7. They make you smile more than most humans you know.

Whether they fall asleep on your lap or get too excited when you get the leash and say, “Wanna go for a walk?,” they constantly remind you of how cute and pure-hearted they are.

8. You really feel like your dog is your baby.

There’s nothing more to say, dogs are man’s best friends.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
