If you're below 5’4” and female, you know too well what it's like to date a tall guy.

1. Constant stiff neck.

You live with the fact you will likely have a stiff neck, and feel like you're looking up at the sky on a daily basis.

2. You're used to being picked up like a kid.

Hugging and kissing involve you getting on his height level and being lifted up for a hug and kiss is the easiest option.

3. There's nothing wrong with asking for help.

Sometimes even with standing on a chair, you can’t seem to reach the highest cabinet.

4. Floor level advantage.

It’s easier for you to reach things on floor level or in small spaces than it is for him.

5. You're used to your man making fun of your height.

Being used as an armrest after a long hike and you get the nickname "short cake." FYI, still not amusing to me.

6. Being treated like you’re a kid because you’re short.

I’m little, but fierce!

7. Sleeping arrangements are a struggle.

He takes up the entire bed. But the real issue is the bed is too short.

8. The constant public staring.

When you’re out in public with your man, people always make glances or comments like, “ I wonder how they make that work."

In the end you accept the fact that you like tall men, and know that the struggle to love is real.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
