Whether a show has two seasons or 15, watching the end can be difficult. There's a small part of us in that show, and it feels weird to let it go. It, however, definitely helps when you have someone else to discuss the show with to help you make it through.
1. Excitement
Yay, there's another episode of my favorite show! I can't wait to see what happens because I definitely need answers after the last episode.
2. Wait. A. Minute.
If the show is currently airing, you're likely aware of the finale. If you're binging it on Netflix, it may come as a total surprise. One moment you're watching season one episode two and the next you're watching season ten episode 17 and people are saying goodbye to each other. How could this happen? How could the network do this to us?
3. Initial Confusion
I have so many questions that still need answers. I'm also going to need a moment to process all of my thoughts.
4. Denial
Nope, that wasn't the last episode. Netflix is definitely lying to me, and there must be at least a few more seasons left. What am I supposed to do with my life now?
5. Suppressing Emotions
The ending totally didn't bother me. They're fictional characters in a fictional world, so it's not like the end has any impact on me.
6. Giving In
OK, maybe it impacted me a little. After watching ten years worth of character growth, how can anyone not feel sad when everything's just done? We'll never know what happens to everyone after this, and honestly, I feel like a part of my soul just died with the end credits.
7. Ignoring
Watching a finale can be traumatic, so I would like to be left alone to curl up in my own tears.
8. Giving In, Again
Just kidding, please bring hugs.
It's been some time now, and we've finally healed from the pain of finishing. Now, the important question remains -- do we start a new show and journey, or do we watch this one again to relive the magic?
