If you don't like these songs then you're either lying or you're wrong.
These are the essentials, the list to end all lists. All other lists are irrelevant. (They are in no particular order; they're all too good to be ranked).
1. "You Spin Me Round" by Dead Or Alive
This music video is possibly the strangest and best thing I've seen in a while.
2. "Break My Stride" by Matthew Wilder
Whenever I'm down, I listen to this song and I instantly feel better. Also, check out keyboard guy's wicked mullet.
3. "This Must Be The Place" by Talking Heads
It was incredibly difficult to pick just one Talking Heads song, but since I had to make a decision, I went with this one. I feel like it really exemplifies a side of their style that isn't always recognized.
4. "You Can Call Me Al" by Paul Simon
According to my dad, this is not the best song on the album, but I beg to differ.
5. "Ashes to Ashes" by David Bowie
You knew I'd include a Bowie song. How could I not?
6. "Another One Bites The Dust" by Queen
Again, how could I leave Queen off the list?
7. "Beat It" by Micheal Jackson
v
A nod to the king. Rest In Peace, Micheal.
8. "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley
The best song to come out of the 80's, hands down.
Sorry, not sorry.
