Amazon: where all your wildest dreams can come true in just two days. As a long time fan and subscriber, I honestly can't imagine my life without it. That's why I'm always surprised to hear that so many students are going through college without it. In an attempt to end this tragedy, here are my top eight reasons why getting yourself Amazon Prime will be the best decision you make all week.

1. You’ll never have to leave your apartment again.

Hungry for a family size bag of Oreos? Prime. Want some new headphones? Prime. Have a burning desire to see if you can pull off cowboy boots? Prime. Amazon has the widest and weirdest selection of products so there’s a good chance they’ll have exactly what you’re looking for. When you find what you need, order it and it will be at your front door in just two days.

2. You will save SO MUCH on shipping.

Seriously. I can’t count how many times I’ve put off ordering something I need (or want) because of shipping costs. With Prime, you can get all the items you need in just two days, without having to sell an organ to pay for shipping.

3. But, its more than just a place to order random stuff.

But wait – there’s more! Although the main feature of Prime is it’s ridiculously fast and free shipping, most people don’t realize that their subscription comes with bonus prizes. Your prime membership gains you access to Amazon Video, Amazon Music, and Prime Photos. So its like having Netflix, Spotify, and iCloud all in one.

4. Ordering textbooks gets 100 times easier.

Amazon has a great rental service for their textbooks, and prices are usually cheaper than the bookstore. Plus, they send email reminders letting you know exactly when your rental is due so there's less of a chance you'll miss the date. And it includes free return shipping!

5. You will never be bored in class again.

The days of twiddling your thumbs are over! Amazon can provide endless hours of distraction from your responsibilities. In the Explore section, they compile a grouping of new and interesting finds picked just for you based on exactly what you like. Its equal parts creepy and awesome.

6. It’s always useful, even during the months you don’t have class.

Every July, Amazon chooses a day to celebrate Prime Day, offering even more amazing discounts to its members. So now you have one more reason to order that swan floatie you’ve had your eye one since last summer.

7. You’ll become (mildly) famous.

Let’s face it, everyone wants to be friends with the person with a Prime account. Your mailman will know your address by heart because of how many packages you recieve. The paparazzi will swarm every time you emerge from your apartment to pick up a delivery.

8. And Students get a discount!

Oh the perks of being a student! As a student, you can gain a free 6-month trial period which gives you full access to all Prime has to offer. And, after your free trial ends, you’ll receive a 50% discount on your subscription.

So, go ahead and get Prime already (you know you want to).

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
