Seven years ago I became obsessed with corgi pictures on the internet. So much so, I begged my mom if I could have one. She had spent the better part of the two years prior saying "There is no way on God's green Earth I will ever get another dog." But that was mostly on account of my Jack Russel being a total maniac.

Luckily, my daughter-charm won out and I welcomed my Welsh-Corgi who I decided to name Watson into my home and my heart. If you're thinking of getting a dog and aren't sure what breed, here are 8 reasons why a Corgi is a no-brainer.

1. They are THE CUTEST puppies.

Seriously, cuteness like this should be illegal! Not only are corgi puppies super adorable but they are soft, snuggly and basically look like tiny bear cubs. This stage won't last long, so enjoy it while it does by taking tons of adorable photos.

2. They have the most exaggerated expressions.

Only a corgi can a make a ridiculous face like this and still be endearing. Any Corgi owner knows that sometimes your dog makes a face that makes you seriously question their level of sanity.

3. Their stubby legs.

Corgi legs are adorable and seem pretty impractical for a dog, until you remember they were originally bred to be sheep-herders giving the stubby legs their advantages. It also makes it so instead of running, they basically prance, which is hilarious to watch.

4. Dressing them up is fun AF.

I encourage you Google image search 'Corgi in costume', I promise you will not be disappointed. Maybe it's on account of their super chill demeanors, but a Corgi can rock a costume like no other breed. Just look how cool this guy is.

5. The Queen of England has like a million Corgis.

Queen Elizabeth has always been a Corgi lover. Getting the whole royal family together for Christmas photos? You better believe the Corgi squad is there in full effect. She even has a corgi ugly Christmas sweater! Can you say #goals?

6. They have the bark of a big dog.

This is honestly one of my favorite things about the breed. So many smaller breeds of dogs have really yippy and obnoxious barks, but not Corgis. Their bark is demanding and loud like a bigger dog, sure to scare away a potential intruder.

7. They are great with kids.

Corgis are seriously affectionate, caring and protective animals. It doesn't hurt that they are great with kids and are sure to end up any little one's best companion.

8. Their butts.

Do I really have to say more? Corgi butts are adorable and remind you how much your dog resembles a loaf of bread. What more could a dog owner want?

If you really love meme worthy photo content, Corgi pics are clearly the way to go. But even more than being excellent and hilarious models, Corgis are a great breed if you're looking for a loving, adorable, and well-behaved pal.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
