It is September everybody!!! This means football is back!

College football, professional football, and even high school football are all back, or on their way. Practice has been going on since late July, fantasy football drafts have been happening since February and mock drafts are already being published left and right. "Experts" have been making playoff predictions and pegging teams as Super Bowl contenders since before the first OTA (Organized Team Activities) even took place over the summer.

Football is THAT season, the one that no matter who we are, or what we do, we all come together every Sunday and hope and pray with everything in us that our team comes out victorious. Whether it be wearing the same jersey, or sitting in the same seat each week, or even having the snacks set up in the same order, we will do anything to recreate that superstitious winning magic every Sunday. Football Sundays are different than your average, regular Sundays. They come with hope, promise, and a whole lot of excitement.

1. You're allowed to yell at the TV as loud as you want, all day, and no one can question it.

Is your fantasy star not getting enough touches? Is your favorite team letting you down? Let it all out as you coach from your couch.

2. You can wear your favorite player's jersey all the time.

You might not even need the season as an excuse to break out that old, worn out but still loved classic jersey.

3. Tailgating.

My personal favorite. Who doesn't love a good cookout followed by a bunch of huge guys hitting each other while protecting a pigskin.

4. Super Bowl parties are the best parties.

Everyone knows this, its just truth.

5. Fantasy Football season is back to make some people very happy, while driving others mad.

Whether money or just bragging rights are on the line, it is still just as competitive.

6. It is a concrete sign that the cold weather is here to stay, which means hoodies, cuddling, and hot chocolate and tea all around.

*Eyes light up at the thought of building a snowman.*

7. No one knows who the "Cinderella story" team will be, but each year it is always exciting to root for them.

8. College Football, especially Homecoming games, are sometimes even more exciting than NFL games.

Watch the enthusiasm and the passion college players play with, and then compare it to that of some NFL players. You will see what I mean.

Hands down, football time is the best time. Not to mention that the onset of football season means the beginning of the playoffs in baseball is not too far off as well. We're entering a golden time in the calendar year right now, let's enjoy it.
