I am definitely guilty of spending way too much money at Sephora, but the truth is, most of my must-have products can be found in the drugstore for less than $20. These are my favorite makeup and skincare products that won't hurt your bank account:
Neutrogena Hydroboost Moisturizer ($17)
This is the #1 product I need in my life. I have extremely dry skin and it took me years to find a moisturizer that actually kept my skin nourished the entire day. It's water based, so it will immediately sink into your skin and allows you to put makeup on easily.
Neutrogena Hydroboost Hydrating Tint ($15)
If you're like me and don't like using foundation/don't have the time, I highly recommend this tinted moisturizer. It will even out your skin tone while still giving you a "no makeup makeup" look (people usually don't think I'm wearing makeup at all).
Maybelline FIT Me Loose Setting Powder
If you have dry skin, you know how hard it is to find a powder that won't dry out your skin even more. This powder is perfect to set your makeup in place while still maintaining the moisture in your skin.
L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara ($9)
This is my favorite budget-friendly mascara. It gives your eyelashes a lot of volume and length. if you're not a fan of a super volumizing mascara, try L'Oreal's Telescopic mascara for extra length while still giving you natural looking lashes.
Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge ($6)
I love the Beauty Blender, but there is no need to spend $20 on it when this Real Techniques one works just as well (if not better).
Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer ($6)
If you're looking for a bronzer to give you a soft tanned look, there is no need to spend 30 or 40 dollars at Sephora. This bronzer will blend into your skin effortlessly and give you that mid-winter bronze you've been wanting.
E.l.f Wow Brow Gel ($4)
Eyebrow gels are perfect for a quick fill-in of color. It will also help keep your eyebrow hairs in place all day. This one from elf is SO inexpensive and works really well.
Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner ($6)
Finally, skincare. After I take off my makeup with I wipe, I always go in with a toner as a final cleansing of my skin before I go to bed. I've tried a lot of toners I like, but this one is so comparable to my other toners and it's a fraction of the price. It's really gentle and leaves my skin moisturized all night.
