Fall is upon us! Every year when the leaves change colors and the temperature starts to cool down, I only think about doing fall related things and Halloween. Even though fall is typically a busy time for people, it is always a good idea to take a break from the craziness and do something fun! If you could use a break, here are eight fall activities to enjoy with your friends and family.
1. Visit a Cider Mill
Apples are in season in Michigan during the fall, so it is only right that you stop by a cider mill during this season! If apples don't attract you to a cider mill, then donuts should! Cider mills bring a lot of people together to celebrate their two favorite fall things: cider and donuts.
2. Go "Leaf Peeping"
This activity goes out to all of the people who love to see the colors of the leaves. Go on a walk with your friends or family and enjoy the lovely fall colors. If you are not up for a walk, especially with the reports of clowns being everywhere, take a scenic drive through an area with a bunch of trees. Doesn't it sound nice to take a peaceful cruise while having your favorite fall tunes playing in the background?
3. Go to A Corn Maze
Get lost in a corn maze during the day or creep your way through a haunted corn maze at night! See how long it takes for you and your friends to complete the maze.
4. Go to A Haunted House
Drag your roommates with you to a haunted house for a night full of screams and terror. Pick the haunted house that you want to go in based on how long you feel like being scared. Some haunted houses are quick and others take you through the entire house, including the basement.
5. Visit a Farmers Market
This is a perfect time for you to get all of the foods that are in season. After visiting a farmers market, you will have a wide selection to make delicious meals and snacks from.
6. Go to A Pumpkin Patch
This is a great fall activity to do with your roommates if you are looking for fun thing to do together! Pick out the pumpkin that you would like and take it home to carve out your favorite design on it. Save those pumpkin seeds and put them into the oven with a sprinkle of sea salt for an after pumpkin carving snack!
7. Shop for Fall Fashion
Fall fashion is my favorite kind of fashion, and whenever fall hits I just want to drive to the mall and browse through all of the clothes. This year's fall fashion is taking elements from other decades while giving off a more modern approach. When you're done at the mall, take a stop at a thrift store to find vintage versions of these trends.
8. Start Planning Your Halloween Costume
So, I'm not sure about anyone else, but I have been thinking about what I want to be for Halloween this year since November 1st, 2015. It's never too early to start thinking about what you want to be, especially if you and your friends are doing a group costume.
