If there is one thing that everybody could have more of in their life, besides money, is efficiency. Being efficient means you can do things quicker, and with less effort. This will help you have more free time to be doing whatever it is you do in your free time. And, because we all know time is money, being more efficient will make you rich, or at least less poor. So here are some items that every single college student needs to have in order to maximize their lifestyle.
Toaster oven
The toaster oven, a staple in the armoire of American appliances, absolutely exudes efficiency. It is literally the combination of two appliances, the toaster and the oven, in a svelte form factor. This thing is about the size of a microwave, and can handle many of the tasks you use an oven for, but a lot quicker as it heats up really quickly. Who’s got time to let a full oven heat up in order to prepare some leftover slices of pizza? Not you.
Crocs
Great looks, durability, versatility, and speedy slip on-ness makes Crocs essential for the efficient lifestyle. You can literally wear Crocs for any occasion. Need to shower in some nasty communal shower? Crocs got you covered. Need to exercise or play a sport or do something active? The little strap has got you covered. Got a bum back or are just incredibly lazy? Don’t need to bend over with some slip ons. Got cold feet? You can get fur inserts for your Crocs. Going tailgating in a mud pit? Well, Crocs are made out of rubber and thus can be hosed down without ruining their style. Like to customize your look? Crocs got you covered with those little charm things you can use to decorate your kicks. So, just do yourself a favor, get rid of all of your other shoes, and buy a pair of Crocs.
Tide To Go
If you’re reading this, you clearly value efficiency, which means you try and do everything fast. This includes eating, which can sometimes get messy and result with you dropping food on your clothes. Traditionally, you would have to change, and then wash the dirtied clothes. But, with Tide To Go, you just use some little magic pen which uses some sort of black magic to remove the stain from the clothing, while still on you. That’s some real time saving my friends.
A clothing steamer
Wrinkles aren’t a good look, but who has the time, skill, or space to use an ironing board. Instead, get yourself a clothing steamer, and keep your garments wrinkle free. It’s like putting your clothes in a bathroom with the shower on, but works a lot better and a lot quicker, while also saving water.
6.2 million pairs of socks and underwear
Everyone knows that everything can be worn more than once except for socks and underwear. That’s why you will always run out of underwear or socks before your other clothes. So do yourself a favor, go to Costco or Amazon and get yourself an endless supply of these items. Instead of doing laundry every two weeks, you will now be able to go an entire semester doing laundry only when you go home for breaks and your mom does it for you.
A cute puppy
You’re probably thinking something like “I love puppies, who doesn’t? But how is a puppy going to make you more efficient? Don’t they actually require a lot of time and money?” Well, to answer your questions, no, a puppy won’t make you more efficient. But, also yes, because everyone loves puppies, so just do yourself a favor and get one.
p.s. that’s a picture of my Shih Tzu, Seabrook.
Good headphones
Efficiency is not always about doing things quicker, but doing something better in the same amount of time is an increase in efficiency. Thus, a good pair of headphones, not those junk ones that came with your phone, will allow you to better listen to your music. And if you really splurge for some noise cancelling headphones, you won’t have to hear that pesky lecturer while you’re trying to watch Game of Thrones during class.
14 phone chargers
Lastly, having a phone charger in every room, and for every occasion, will allow you to use your phone as intended. Without having to worry about your phone dying, you will be able to pump up the brightness, and stream video for as long as you desire. Keep one in your backpack for charging on the go, and if you won’t have access to an outlet, get yourself a power bank. Also, make sure to pick the right length cord for the occasion. You’ll want a 10 footer for in your bedroom so you can roll around and do whatever without worrying about running out of length, but keep a 1 footer for your power bank.
