1. Procrastination

Pack in advance, not the day before move in. Throughout the week if you are already pack you will say "oh, I forgot this!" and you will thank me later!

2. DO NOT Overpack

My freshman year, I totally over packed and brought my whole room to the dorm with me. I did not use close to half of the belongings that I brought. Only bring enough that will fit into your dorm.

3. Remember To Be Nice To Your Parents

They are just there to help you and if we are being honest you could not move in without their help.

4. Essentials... Snacks.

Bring so many because you will be poor in a few days and will not be able to afford more.

5. Communicate With Your Roommates

Make sure you communicate with them because you do not want to bring 15 toilet bowl cleaners and 3 vacuums.

6. BRING TOOLS

I have needed screw drivers and hammers so many times on move in day and thank gosh I had them with me!

7. Lots and Lots of Toilet Paper

You will run out of TP faster than you think....
