It is no secret that social media has taken over our generation. We have Facebook to keep up with family and brag about how well we're doing. There's Twitter to keep up with our friends and favorite celebrities. Instagram for us to portray the lifestyle that broke college students can sort of afford. However, there's a new platform that is starting to reign superior to all. Snapchat gives us a variety of options from sending disappearing pictures and videos, to messaging, to video calling. You can even post stories for everyone to see what you're up to. Since this Snapchat is essentially the one stop shop for almost everything you could need from an app, many people young and old love it.

Snapchat has many users worldwide and different types of people to match. With that being said, here are just some of the people you may encounter:

1. The Screenshotter

You trusted this person with a not-so-great picture of yourself and they betrayed you. Even after you set the time limit to three seconds. Now they have this picture for blackmail. How did they manage to do get the screenshot in time? How could you ever forgive them?

2. The Party Animal

They're not really posting much during the week. However, once the weekend hits, this person's story is filled with pictures they probably won't remember in the morning. From the first shot to the last, this person makes sure that everything is added to their story.

3. The Gym Junkie

This person puts in work at the gym and they are going to let you know. This can range from pictures with timestamps of them arriving and leaving, pictures of them sweating, or pictures of them showing their improvement.

4. The Open Road Driver

This is the person who is videotaping the road in front of them while a song that they like is playing in the background. Once they're done recording, they'll add a date stamp, time stamp, or even the MPH filter to make the video to make it aesthetically pleasing.

5. The Filter Tester

If Snapchat releases a new filter, this person will be sure to take a picture using and post it to their story for everyone to see. They'll also go through every filter and let you know which one is their favorite as well as least favorite.

6. The Show Off

Whether it's a new car, new clothes, a new electronic device, an award, or anything else of high value, this person will let you know that they got it.

7. The Foodie

You could've just eaten, but once you see this Snapchat, you're hungry instantly. This person will post their favorite foods, or some highly appetizing, overpriced food from some fancy cafe.

This is just a taste of some of the many Snapchatters in the world. Some people, including myself, are a combination of these and more. Which ones are you?
