8 Thoughts That Run Through Every College Students Head Before Finals

It's that time of year again. You know, the one when you question everything you thought you knew, try to think about the long and beautiful break ahead, and try not to have a meltdown over the impending doom that is finals season. So here are just a few of the many, slightly scatter thought probably going through your head right now.

1. "Are you sure the semester's almost over?"

Yes, it's really almost over. Yes, the next two weeks are gonna be the most stressful two weeks of your life, but at least we can appreciate the fact that we're almost finished, right?

2. "Well would you look at that I have two finals back to back."

Or maybe you have 3 finals in 28 hours instead of 24, or maybe you just generally have a lot of finals, and no one wants to have a lot of finals.

3. "At least it's almost Christmas, right?"

I'm trying really hard to get into the holiday spirit, but something about possibly failing all of my exams is really keeping me from turning into the Hallmark Christmas movie fanatic that I usually am.

4. "What is sleep?"

I ask myself that before finals season, I ask myself that even more during finals season, but it's okay because it's all worth it in the end, at least that's what I tell myself when I'm drinking my third cup of coffee in the library.

5. "What if I just dropped out right here and now?"

You know you won't actually do that, but sometimes it's the only thought that seems to be running through your mind when it's midnight and you have no plans of leaving the library any time soon.

6. "I think I need to take a nap."

Sometimes I think this even when I don't need to take a nap, or especially when I literally just woke up from taking a nap. So maybe my sleep schedule is a little off, but at least I know that when finals are over I can nap for days.

7. "I don't remember the last time I washed my hair."

You also don't remember the last time you left the library, the last time you saw the light of day, the list just goes on. You also don't know how you smell, but you're gonna go ahead and assume it's not all that great.

8. "I've never been so ready for the end of the semester in my life."

Have faith, the semester is almost over. You'll believe in yourself and your crazy study habits, you won't withdraw from your university, and you'll ace your finals.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
