Labs. Not everyone has to take them, but those who do, despise them at one point or another. Whether you have to take them because it's part of your major's requirements, the college's requirements, or because you just needed an extra class, there comes a time where you question how you got involved in the class or why you're in the lab in the first place.
1. What is going on?
You'll find that you will ask this question shortly after your professor explains the lab, after you read the packet, or throughout the entire class.
2. How does this apply to my major?
Especially if you're an English or Creative Writing major.
3. What is my lab partner doing?
Perhaps they're working on the lab independently and not talking to you, or maybe they're just attempting to complete the entirely wrong way.
4. What time is it?
How much longer do I have to be here? What do you mean only 5 minutes have passed?
5. How do these post-lab questions relate to the lab we just completed?
6. I wonder if the table next to us knows what they're doing.
And if they'd be willing to help a sista (or brotha) out.
7. I'm definitely taking a nap after this class.
Screw what others say, labs can be exhausting and everyone who is in them deserves a much-needed nap.
