7 Thoughts All Women Have When They Step Into The Shower

To shave or not to shave ? That is the question.

Before I get in the shower, I have spent about 20 minutes considering how long it will take me to shave, exfoliate, and wash and condition my hair. Most of the time, if I am in a hurry, dry shampoo and extra deodorant is the way to go. These are a few of the thoughts that come to mind during a shower that I am sure many can relate to.

1. Lost track of time??

What starts as a 10-minute shower turns into a 30-minute to an hour debacle. "Why am I not done yet?" "All the hot water will be gone!" "Can anyone hear me singing?"

2 Hair, hair and more hair!!

I am always amazed when I wash my hair the amount that covers my shower. I'm not sure where all of it is coming from or why so much is falling out. I feel like cousin "IT" by the end of it all.

3. To shave or not to shave?

Shaving my legs adds much more time to my showering schedule. I don't know about you but if I do not shave every other day my legs start to look like Chewbacca.

4.The blood bath!

Every time I shave, I wonder if my legs and armpits will survive the mighty razor's torture or will the shower floor will look like a murder scene from "Psycho." The second concern is stopping the bleeding without making my towels look like they were a culprit in the murder.

5. Zoning out!

My favorite thing to do in the shower is absolutely nothing; just standing there and enjoy the water and thinking about being somewhere else, like a beach. Other times I tend to think about things I need to do or what hasn't been done yet. I'm sure everyone can relate in some way or another about being in "LaLa Land."

6. Envy!!!

It's not the biggest deal, but every time I'm washing and shaving, I think to myself men have it easier than we do when it comes to being clean.

7. If you live to be 70 years old you will spend 10 years of your life on a Monday!

Some of the most random and brilliant thoughts occur while completing a simple hygienic task. Drowning in my own thoughts!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
